Robert Wayne Combs

Robert Wayne Combs, 79, of Decker, Indiana passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Robert was born on July 19, 1944 and is the son of the late Marian and Rozina (Raney) Combs. He has been married the love of his life, Annabell (Plummer) Combs for 57 years.

Robert loved his family fiercely. He was very protective of them and loved spending time together. He taught his grandchildren so many things such as learning new languages, taking care of the animals he cherished, and fishing. He collected many Native American items and memorabilia. Robert's favorite month was October and he had fun with Halloween and all the activities that went with it. He was a proud veteran serving in the United States Army and in the Vietnam War. His family will miss him dearly and they loved him so much.

Robert is survived by his wife, Annabell; children, Larry Combs (Sophie), LeRoy Combs, and LeAnn Wheeler; brother, David Combs; grandchildren, Collin Wheeler, James Wheeler, Ivy Wheeler, and Anthony Wheeler. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Marian and Rozina Combs; and brother Michael Combs.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, October 27th, 2023 at 12:00 pm in the Veteran's section at Memorial Park Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Robert.
