Robert Whiting

Robert Edward "Bob" Whiting, 71, passed away at his residence on December 17, 2019. Bob was born on August 26, 1948 in Portland, Maine the son of Robert Henry and Catherine (Clark) Whiting. He married Lee Ann Thornberry Sims on August 28, 1982.Bob enjoyed restoring and driving old cars, he was also an avid accordian player and loved his candy. He had been a truck driver for Boyd's and Son for several years and most recently he drove for Bestway Express.Survivors include his wife, Lee Ann Whiting of Vincennes; his children, Sarah Copp and her husband Chris of Vincennes, Craig Sims of Vincennes, Christopher Whiting and his wife Whitney of Vincennes, Brandon Whiting and his wife Melinda of Vincennes, IN, Drayden Whiting of Vincennes, Kayden Whiting of Vincennes; his sister Phyllis Elliott of Vincennes; grandchildren, Courtney Welage and her husband Benjamin, Ally Sims, Eli Sims, Bianca Whiting, Landyn Whiting and Meela Whiting. Bob was preceded in death by his parents.Friends may visit with Bob's family from 4-7 pm on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway.
