Robert Willis

Robert E. Willis, 84, of Vincennes, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at his home.He was born September 30, 1929 in Vincennes to Orval B. "Bennie" and Trula V. (Bayles) WillisRobert worked at Vincennes Steel from 1958 until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville, and the VFW. He served his country in the US Army from 1954-1956 Company B 862 as a carpenter in Germany.He is survived by his sons, Robert Willis Jr. and his wife, Lisa, and Steve Willis and his significant other, Trudy Kolehouse, all of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Rebecca and Robert Willis, III Shanda Hudanich, and Brett Willis and his wife, Shay, all of Vincennes; his great grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashlyn, Alexis, and Sierra Hudanich, and Owyn, Layton, and Devyn Wilis; a brother, Jim Willis and his wife, Cathy of Vincennes, and several nieces and nephews.Proceeding in death were his parents, his wife of 47 years, Georgia L. (Noe) Willis, whom he married March 14, 1958, one brother, and one grandson, Steven Willis Jr.Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday June 6, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor J. Kevin Wyckoff officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the service time Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Our Savior Lutheran Church or the Knox County Humane Society.
