Robert H. "Bob" Wright, 73, of Evansville, IN, and previously of rural Oaktown, IN, passed away June 14, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital.Bob was a bus driver for METS in Evansville, IN, for 34 years. A member of the Oaktown United Methodist Church, he was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing cards. He loved to eat and liked his Pabst Blue Ribbon beer.During the Vietnam War, he served in the signal corps, and served in the Army for 5 years. Bob was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.Surviving is his wife, Kristy (Horn) Wright; his granddaughter, Kirstie Doddridge of Evansville, IN, whom he raised since she was 5years old, and who, along with her husband, Jeremy, were involved with his care; his daughters, Dawn Doty of Farina, IL, and her three children and Susannah Horn of Lakeland, FL; his son, Robert Wright, Jr., and his child of Charlottesville, VA; his sister, Nancy Stephenson and her husband, Bill, of Darmstadt, IN; his grandson, Jeffrey Junkins of Tampa, FL; his sister-in-laws, Kathleen Wright of Evansville, IN and Kathy Walton of Evansville, IN; and his brother-in-laws, Clifford Bragg of St. Petersburg, FL and Jeff (Kathy) Horn of Sunman, IN.Born December 9, 1947, in Evansville, IN, he was the son of James Harold and Mary Elaine (Gish) Wright. His parents; his sister, Leeca Bragg; and his brothers, Mike and Gerald Wright preceded him.Friends may visit with Bob's family from 4:00 - 7:00 EDT on Friday, at the Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN.
