Roger B. Fetcher, 60, of Inglefield, IN formally Owensville, IN went to be with the Lord November 11, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born January 26, 1958 to Basil Duane Fetcher and Virginia Paul Robinson in Evansville, IN. Roger was in the first graduating class at Gibson Southern High School. He was employed as a facilities manager at Escalade Sports for 26 years. Roger was very special to many people and knew just what needed said to make you laugh and brighten the room. He loved to plant trees, fish, hunt, or just be in nature enjoying the sound of water or the sight of mountains. Roger was a jack of all trades and could fix anything that was given to him. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, always looking ahead to make sure they were cared for. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents Basil and Virginia Fetcher; siblings Carroll Fetcher, Steve Fetcher, Martha Mason, June Oliver, Mike Fetcher; and nephew Michael Fetcher. Roger is survived by his wife Sherry; children Ciavon (Matt) Hartman and Matthew Paul Fetcher; step children Amie (David) Etheridge and Abbie Joiner; brothers Troy Alan (Karen) Fetcher and Kent D. (Patty) Fetcher; aunt Pauline Crawford; grandchildren Landon and Liana Hartman, Averie, Chloe, and Claire Etheridge; several nieces and nephews; and cousins. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Fetcher. Visitation will be held Wednesday November 14, 2018 at Holders Funeral Home from 4p-8p. Funeral will be Thursday November 15, 2018 at 10a with Pastor Kurtis Bueltmann officiating. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you plant a tree in Rogers memory. The family would like to thank Dr. Chester Burkett's office, Deaconess Pallative Care and Hospice, Midtown and Paul's Pharmacy, Escalade Sports, Judy and Tommy Billings, Clara Moesner, Teri Cochran, Jason and Alex Fetcher, Bryce Whitfield, and all the family and friends that helped care for Roger and assisted with any needs. Sherry would also like to thank all her coworkers that picked up extra to allow her to spend time with Roger during his time of need.
