Ronald Sumner

Ronald G. Sumner, 65, passed away at 7:45 am on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Ronnie was born on June 20, 1949 in Huntingburg, Indiana the son of Harmon and Violet (Hall) Sumner. He married Beth Orr on August 17, 1968 and she survives.Ronnie was a member of Community United Methodist Church and had worked at Vincennes Steel for many years. He enjoyed his family, camping and barbecuing. Ronnie was also a long time member of the Vincennes Eagles.Survivors include his wife Beth Sumner of Vincennes; daughters, Christina Murphy of Oaktown, Melissa Groves of Vincennes, Rhonda Craver of Plymouth; sister Ann Walls of Sumner, Il; brother, Jerry Sumner of Griffith, IN; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack Sumner.Friends may visit with Ronnie's family on Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 1-5 pm at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
