Rosetta Kamplain

Rose Kamplain, 89, of Flat Rock, Illinois passed away on December 6, 2021, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. Rose was a beloved mother, great grandmother, great - great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and friend during her 89 years of life. We will remember Rose for her unwavering devotion to her family; her stubborn, strong willed, and independent personality; and her love for gardening, cooking, sewing, and raising of chickens. Rose was born on December 2, 1932, to Ora and Geneva (Harris) Uppenkamp in Pike County, Indiana. On July 22, 1950, she married Ray Kamplain in Washington, Indiana. She worked at Uniroyal and Nasco Industries in Washington, Indiana before her retirement. After retirement, she worked at the Snack Shack in Washington. She is survived by her three children: Donna F. Gaines of Washington, Indiana, Kevin Kamplain (Jennifer) of Washington, Indiana, Paul Kamplain (Kim) of Flat Rock, Illinois, six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents, her son in law Mike Gaines, daughter in law Janet Kamplain, grandson David Kamplain, and all eight of her siblings. Her family and many friends will dearly miss Rose, but they remain grateful for the memories she left behind. They will always feel her presence in their hearts. Visitation for Rose will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St. Washington, Indiana 47501 from 11:00am - 2:00pm. A funeral service will follow immediately at 2:00pm with Pastor Brent Cramer officiating.
