Roy Eddleman

July 19, 1930 — December 18, 2012

Roy N. Eddlemann, 82, passed away at the Lodge of the Wabash at 3:53 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Roy was born in Vincennes on July 19, 1930 the son of Andrew and Irene (Haper) Eddleman. He married Joan R. Richardson on June 8, 1950 and she preceded him in death on February 11, 1998.Roy was employed by Blackford Window Glass; he then was a foreman for Essex Wire and most recently a truck driver for Morgan Meat and Poultry. Roy was a member of the American Legion and an avid fisherman. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a Medal of Honor Recepient. He was a former member of TPA and the Eagles Lodge. Roy enjoyed going out riding in the car. Survivors include his daughters, Cindy Goodson and her husband, Bruce of Carlisle; Kathy Goodson and her husband, Carl; grandchildren, Michelle Moore, Robert Goodson, James Goodson, Steven Goodson, Aaron Eddleman, Amanda Eddleman; great grandchildren, Zachary Goodson, Colton and Hunter Moore and Susie Mae Goodson. Roy was preceded in death by a son, Andy Eddleman, an infant granddaughter, Melissa Dawn Eddleman and a brother, Cleo Eddleman.Funeral services for Roy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Rev Georg Karl and Rev. Fred Nocus officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Roy's family on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
