Ruth Ellen Foster

Ruth Ellen "Ruthie" Foster, 74, of Vincennes, slid into heaven like her tail feathers were on fire on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at BridgePointe Health Campus.She was born March 30, 1944 in Providence, Kentucky to Newton and Rosa May (Phelps) Bobo.Ruth was a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Ruthie moved to Vincennes where she resided on Cullop street and was the Queen Bee of Bridgepointe and that place won't ever be the same without her. She touched many lives with her lively laughter.Those surviving who will cherish Ruthie's memory include her daughters; Rhonda Kaye Foster and her companion Greg Willis of Vincennes; Tonya Gaye Patrick and her husband Jody of Vincennes; a sister, Hettie Todd of Henderson, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Jesse Pruitt and is wife Erica, Shidel Foster, Bethany Brookheart, KelLee Brookheart, and Sydney Hultz; along with 11 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald C. Foster whom she married in 1963 and preceded her on June 1, 2018; and a son, James R. "Digger" Foster, "her number 1 son"A Celebration of her life will be 1:00 pm Friday, March 8, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ruthie Foster.
