Ruth Fletcher

Ruth Ann (McFarland) Fletcher, 66, went to her heavenly home at 6:06 pm on May 27, 2019 at Daviess Community Hospital. Ruth Ann was born on June 17, 1952 in Daviess County to Charles P. and Frona (Quackenbush) McFarland.Ruth Ann attended Pike County Schools, had worked in the food service industry, attended Bethany Christian Church and was a former member of the Moose and American Legion. She enjoyed cooking and adored her dog Lilly. She also enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.Survivors include her daughter, Amanda DiMaggio of Washington; sister, Beverly Sue Hand of Washington, brother, Charlie McFarland of Petersburg; granddaughter, Everly DiMaggio and several nieces and nephews. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Donald, Alben, Mike, Dave and Steve McFarland and one sister, Terri Lynn McFarland.Friends may visit with Ruth Ann's family from 11:00 am until noon on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St. A celebration of Ruth Ann's life will begin at the conclusion of visitation starting at noon with Pastor Tom Watson officiating.
