Ruth Phillippe

Ruth K. Phillippe, 98, passed away at 10:45 a.m. on May 20, 2012 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Ruth was born on December 31, 1913 in Knox County the daughter of Julius and Bessie (Clinkenbeard) Heithecker. Ruth married Ralph S. Phillippe on July 11, 1936 and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2000. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Audrey Barker and her husband, Claude of Ladoga, IN; Sharon Madison of Vincennes, sister, Norma Jean Hobson of Vincennes; brother, Jack Heithecker of Vincennes; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Ralph; daughter, Phyllis Neighbors; sisters, Helen Phillippe, Patricia Emmel, Opal Corren, Mildred DeGraff, brother, Wayne Heithecker an infant brother and two son in laws, Larry Madison and Claude Neighbors. Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
