Ruth Roberts

On February 13, 2022, Ruth Imogene Roberts, 91, Owensville, went to be with the Lord. Imogene "Imie" was born June 30th, 1930, in Johnson, Indiana, to Zelman J. Roberts and Beatrice (Overton) Roberts. She was a member of the Maumee General Baptist Church and was once a member of the Eastern Star. Imogene was married to John Earl Roberts for 72 years and raised one son Jerald. Imogene and John Earl shared a passion for woodworking and enjoyed traveling to hear country music. As talented artists, they crafted everything from beautiful clocks, gorgeous ornaments, and lovely birds. Imgoene took pride in maintaining her home and yard, she enjoyed quilting alongside many friends, and relished her outings to Pat's Place for coffee. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is forever in our hearts. Imogene was preceded in death by her parents Zelman and Beatrice (Overton) Roberts; her husband John Earl; her son Jerald and his wife Jane (Lankford) Roberts; brothers Jerry Dean and Garry E. Roberts; sister-in-law Mary (Gross) Roberts; brother-in-law Charles Campbell. Imogene is survived by her sister Betty Campbell, grandchildren Jason (Cheryl) Roberts and Jennifer (Geoff) Ruckel, and great-grandchildren Kendall, Jonah, and Jerald "JJ." Roberts; Gus and Owen Ruckel. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Roberts. Visitation will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 at Holder's Funeral Home from 9a-11a. Graveside will be held at Maumee Cemetery with Ken Nelson officiating at 11:30a.
