Ruth Strange

Ruth Strange, 75 of 1221 N 13th St, Vincennes, went home with the Lord at 12:08 a.m. Wednesday May 21, 2014.She was born January 2, 1939 in Knox County to Boyd and Lois (Bean) Evans.She had worked as a Nurse's Assistant at Good Samaritan Hospital and was a member of the Franklin Heights Christian Church.Surviving are her children, Pamela Mitchell of Thornton, CO, Kevin Strange of LaVernia TX, William Strange of Vincennes, and Christopher Strange of Vincennes; a brother, Michael Evans of Indianapolis, two sisters, Vickie Ervin of Reed, KY, and Rosalie Risley of St. Francisville, IL; five grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; her step children, Mark Strange, Diane Sampson, and Debra Marsh, and 8 step grandchildren.Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert Strange, who preceded her on June 12, 2011; a daughter, Lisa Strange; her sisters, Wilma Stephens and Peggy Wheldon; and her brothers, Jim and Charles Evans.Funeral services for Ruth will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home with John Nappo officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 Tuesday at the funeral Home.
