Sammy J Cook

Sammy J. I. Cook, 60, of Vincennes, passed away at 9:32 pm Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at his residence.He was born June 30, 1959 in Vincennes, Indiana to George and Cora (Wright) Cook.Sammy worked at KCARC and was a graduate of South Knox High School. Sammy enjoyed going to Goodwill, Cash N Dash where he loved to hang out, and spending his days at the Bettye J. McCormick Center. Sammy also loved riding his bike, drinking Dr. Pepper, and visiting with his family whom he always had a good time with.Surviving are his brothers and sisters, Marylin Pemberton, Alfred Cook, Marsha Adams, Wayne Cook, Esther Harper, and Judy Dreiman, his roommate Tommy McCrary; and many friends and staff at Bridges of Indiana which he adored.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jerry Deen Cook, and a sister Peggy Cook.Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday June 8, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rick Spaulding officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the service at the cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Sammy Cook. Contributions may be made to for a monument.Tribute Video
