Sanders Jones

Sanders Joseph Jones, 96, of Madison, TN and formerly of Vincennes died January 31, 2011. Born April 25, 1914 in Wyeth County, VA he was preceded in death by his wife, M. Elinor Jones; parents, Ollie and Curran W. Jones, Sr.; sisters, Mary Carter and Beatrice Jones and brother, Curran W. Jones, Jr.He is survived by a brother, William F. Jones; son, Charles C. Jones; daughter, Sandra J. Campbell; six grandchildren, Jon Michael Jones, Rebekah K. Herman, Kevin S. Campbell, Craig A. Campbell, Tina Williams and Troy Williams and twelve great-grandchildren.Mr. Jones was a WWII veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps. He was the Superintendent of Building and Grounds at Vincennes University for twenty-eight years.A scholarship fund is being created in his memory via the Vincennes University Foundation.A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Mariah Creek Chapel on the Vincennes University Campus with Dr. Phillip Summers officiating.Arrangements were handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St.
