Sarah Neikirk

Sarah L. Neikirk, 37, passed away on November 14, 2020 at her residence. Sarah was born on March 5, 1983 in Washington the daughter of James and Kathleen (Disch) Gunder.Sarah was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved her three girls very much. She also enjoyed animals, reading and all of her friends from various jobs, school, and activities, including bartending at the Angle Inn. Sarah had also worked on the psychology unit as a CNA at Daviess Community hospital and looked forward to becoming a nurse after she completed her nursing degree from Vincennes University.Survivors include her daughters, Jordan, Marissa, and Mackenzie Neikirk, her mother and step-father, Kathleen and Jerry Toschlog of Richmond, IN; sister, Kara Brooking and her husband Nathan; brother, Nathan Gunder and his wife Cheyanne of Washington, IN; paternal grandfather, Russ Gunder of Washington, IN; maternal grandmother, Kay Disch; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces. Sarah was preceded in death by her father, James Gunder, paternal grandmother, Beatrice "Bea" Gunder, and her maternal grandfather, Walter Disch.Friends may visit with Sarah's family from 5-8 pm on Thursday, November 19, 2020 and on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 9-10 am at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN. A graveside service to celebrate Sarah's life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 20, 2020 at New Veale Creek Cemetery. Sarah will be laid to rest next to her father in New Veale Creek Cemetery and Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to assist Sarah's family with arrangements.
