Sharon Sweet

Sharon D. Sweet, 83, passed away at 10:00 am on February 27, 2021 at her residence. Sharon was born on November 20, 1937 in Washington, IN the daughter of Merle "Red" and Ann (Lucas) Lucas. Sharon married George Dale Sweet on June 23, 1956 and he survives.Sharon was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and had recently been attending Bethany Christian Church. She worked for Uniroyal and then for CE Taylor Oil Company. After her retirement she also worked at German American Bank. Sharon enjoyed puzzles and reading and was an avid knitter and she loved to play Bingo.Survivors include her husband, George Dale Sweet of Washington; her children, Mark Sweet and his wife Patti of Collierville, TN, Bill Sweet of Vincennes, Amy Auberry and her husband Tim of Washington; nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and son, Steven Sweet.Friends may visit with Sharon's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN.
