Stacy Dodson

Stacy Lee Dodson, 42, of Vincennes passed away at 1:11 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Good Samaritan Hospital.Stacy was born September 22, 1977, in Vincennes, Indiana, to Thomas Lee and Deborah Lee (Fisher) Dodson.She had worked as a customer service representative for H&R Block and Charter Communications.Volunteering was a big part of Stacy's life. She gave her time to the Art Guild, Red Cross, The Pantheon and at the West Baden Hotel. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.Surviving Stacy are her mother Deborah Dodson of Vincennes; her sister Michelle Lee Smith and Michelle's husband Brad of Vincennes; her niece Riley Smith of Vincennes; and paternal grandmother Margaret Dodson of Vincennes, formerly of Patoka.Her loving father Thomas Lee Dodson preceded her in death.Stacy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1995, where she discovered a passion and special talent for art. She would go on to major in art at Vincennes University and Oakland City College. She made the most beautiful art - edgy, loud and fun, but certainly beautiful and unafraid of others' judgment.Anyone who spent time with Stacy was touched by her caring and compassion. She was someone friends and family knew they could count when in need. Stacy was a sweet, kind, fun-loving woman with a generous soul. Her love for her family and friends was only matched by her love for music and the Lord. She had a wonderful, wacky sense of humor that will be sorely missed. Her loud belly laugh could be heard from the next room.Stacy didn't apologize for who she was; she owned her eccentricities. She was fierce, brazen and strong. She was a light for so many during dark times. Stacy loved fiercely and passionately and wasn't afraid to stand up to protect a friend, family member or anyone in need.Stacy will be missed so much, by the many she loved and touched and those who loved her.Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Ron Fellows officiating.
