Stan Wilson

Stan L. Wilson SR., 72, passed away on June 29, 2021 into the arms of our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Evansville, IN July 28, 1948 to the late Rufus Wilson and Vonda (Ross) Wilson. Stan was a graduate of Fort Branch High School and attended Indiana University and Oakland City University where he majored in history. Stan spent his business career in the automotive service industry including owning his own service company for heavy duty equipment and trucks. His hobbies included golf and he was an avid Indiana University basketball fan. Stan is preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Vonda Wilson; sister, Leah Jane Wilson; and nephew. John David Straight. He is survived by brothers: Tim, Greg, Rick and Tony Wilson; sisters: Mary May and Candy Straight; children: Stan Wilson Jr., Danny Wilson, and Amy Wilson; grandchildren: Tyler and Kooper Wilson and Callia, Bryce, and Brooklyn Phelps. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Wilson. Visitation will be held Friday July 2, 2021 at Holder's Funeral Home 319 S. Main St. Owensville from 10a-12p. Funeral will be 12p at Holders Funeral Home with interment at Owensville Cemetery. Masks are recommended for those that are not vaccinated.
