Stella Pieper

Stella Mae Pieper, 86, of Edwardsport, IN, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital on July 19, 2013.Stella was a member of the Bethel Church in Freelandville, and its Friendly Circle Sunday School Class. She had served as President of the Women's Guild, and was active in North Knox Social Ministries. Stella was a homemaker, and earlier in her life, had worked in the lab at Good Samaritan Hospital.Surviving is her daughter, Carolyn Pieper, of Vincennes; her son, Don (Susette) Pieper of Bicknell, IN; a sister, Robertine Hatton of Vincennes; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Hagemeier of Westphalia, IN; grandchildren, Randy (Alicia) Pieper of Princeton, IN, Russell Pieper of Bicknell, IN, and Carrie (Phillip) Coleman of Morristown, TN; and great-grandchildren, Madison Riker, and Evan Martin Pieper, both of Princeton, IN.Born July 15, 1927, in Fritchton, IN, Stella was the daughter of Don and Bessie (Like) Goodwin. They preceded her, as well as her husband, Martin Pieper.Calling hours will be Monday, from 4:00-8:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. The family will also receive friends on Tuesday, from 9:30 - 10:30, at the Bethel Church. The funeral will begin at 10:30 at the church.
