Stella Rodarmel

Stella Rodarmel, 94, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at her daughter's residence. Stella was born on December 11, 1919 in Decker Chapel, the daughter of Phillip and Amanda (Mock) Haubeil. She married Otis Duane Rodarmel on July 25, 1936, and he preceded her in death on January 26, 1990.Stella was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church where she belonged to the Women's Association. She volunteered at Good Samaritan Hospital as a Pink Lady and was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Stella took great pride in the way she raised her three children and in being a great wife and mother.Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Fink and her husband, Paul, Jr. of Vincennes; grandchildren, Cynthia Glass, Amie Bruner, Aaron McLane, Michael Rodarmel, Adam McLane; great grandchildren, Brian Rodarmel, Ryan McLane, Megan McLane, Paul McLane, Maslin Bruner, Jackson McLane; niece, Pam Palagi and nephews, Joseph and Raymond Manning. Stella was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Otis Duane Rodarmel, daughter, Laurel (Susie) Glass; son, Robert D. Rodarmel, brothers, Joseph Manning, Henry Haubeil and sister, Clara Brines; and aunt Leverta O'Haver.Funeral services for Stella will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Rev. John DeSanto officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit with Stella's family from noon until the hour of service time of 2:00 pm on Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home.
