Steven G. Collins

Steven G. Collins, 72, of Washington, IN passed away August 30, 2023. He was born in Washington, IN on April 5, 1951, to the late Claude B. and Mildred L. (Quackenbush) Collins. He graduated from Washington High School in 1969 and continued his education at Ivy Tech College in Evansville, IN. Steven worked for Crane for 20+ years as an inspector. Steven was a member of the Washington VFW, American Legion, and Eagles Lodge. In his free time, Steven enjoyed golfing, watching the Colts play, playing pool, listening to classic rock music, reading, watching IU basketball, attending the Washington Car Show, playing league softball, and enjoying his 1966 Mustang.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother James B. Collins.
Steven is survived by his children Amy (Bill) Carr, LeighAnn Padgett, Steven J. (Melanie) Collins; grandchildren Lacey Carr, Megan Carr, Alexandria Carr, Nathan Carr, Erin (Tyler) O'Haver, Tyler Choate, Talitha (Frankie) Dillon, Bryce Collins, Devin Collins; 5 great-grandchildren; sister Jodee Collins; and many nieces and nephews.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Collins. Visitation will be held Monday, September 11, 2023, at 2020 State St. Washington from 11-1pm. A funeral service will be held September 11, 2023, at 1pm with burial at Truelove Cemetery in Martin County immediately following.
