Susan Kixmiller

Susan Kay Kixmiller (Spangle), 80, of Vincennes, IN passed away peacefully on September 21, 2022. Susan was born in Vincennes, IN on August 29, 1942, she was the daughter of Victor and Martha Eunice (DeBerry) Spangle. Susan graduated from Bruceville High School in 1960, and was a member of Tri Kappa & P.E.O. After high school Susan went on to marry the love of her life Marlin Kixmiller on February 12, 1961. She was a homemaker, and babysat all her grandchildren, something she loved dearly. Susan is preceded in death by her parents, husband Marlin, and one son Bradley Jay Kixmiller. She is survived by her children, Brian Kixmiller of Vincennes, Lori Anne (Rose) Kixmiller of Terre Haute, & LeAnne Phillippe of Vincennes; her siblings Barbara Madsen of Carmel, Rebecca "Becky" (Tom) Nowaskie of Vincennes, Dr. John (Priscilla) Spangle of Jackson, New Jersey, sister-in-law Waneta Graham of Granite City, IL; her grandchildren Kaci (Matthew) Cheek, Haleigh, Brevin & Angelina Kixmiller, Judith (Ryan) Culp, Emma Tomey, and Zachary Phillippe; her great-grandchildren Dawsyn, Myles, Messer, Keylee, Daxton & Murphy; and several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Friends may visit with Susan's family from 11:00-1:00 on Friday, October 7 at Goodwin Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Freelandville, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vincennes Animal Shelter or Good Samaritan Hospice.
