Sybil Hawkins

Sybil L. "Micky" Hawkins, 86, passed away at 12:06 pm on April 13, 2018 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Micky was born on November 1, 1931 in Mt. Carmel, IL the daughter of Pet and Dolly Seaton. She married Charles Hawkins on April 12, 1948 and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2014.Micky loved to bowl and play cards with her family. She also enjoyed reading, watching sports, sewing and was a huge Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all though, Micky enjoyed spending time with all of her family and grandchildren.Survivors include her daughter, Janie Stephens and her husband Paul of Bruceville; son, Steve Hawkins and his wife Delia of Ragsdale; grandchildren, Paul Stephens, Jr., Lori Blann, Nicole Brough, Stephen Hawkins, Jamie Hawkins, Beverly Huff, Johnny Hawkins, as well as several great grandchildren. Micky was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Hawkins, and two brothers, Gene and Dale Seaton.Friends may visit with Micky's family on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery 919 Willow Street with Pastor Sandy Ivers officiating. Interment will follow the graveside service.
