Tala Beth was born March 25th, 2020, to an uncertain, unknown, and chaotic time in the world. From the moment she arrived, she was an immediate sense of miraculous love, strength, and joy. Tala left this world surrounded by family and held in her parent’s arms March 19th, 2024. Tala was preceded in heaven by her uncles, Ritchie and Nate. Tala is survived by her parents, Luke and Teeny Davis; siblings KaiLayna and Ryver Davis; grandparents Tony and Beth Davis and Steve and Elaine Osha; aunts and uncles Shawn and Nikki Kroeger, Jessie Davis, Lance and Meagan Davis, and Darian Hahn; cousins Kaitlyn, Shaylee, Hope, Cohen, Parker, Lennix, Beckett, and Merrick.
She accomplished more in her short life than most ever do. Tala was and will always remain a source of inspiration to her family, friends, and community. Tala’s diagnosis of Walker-Warburg Syndrome inspired the creation of the official WWS ribbon. Tala’s life inspired the nonprofit, Little Warrior Wishes, Inc. to assist families in creating lasting memories when timeframes are limited. Tala has laid a foundation in her community by setting the precedent of understanding the importance of experiences and how adventures together are most important of all. Because of Tala, her family advocated for inclusivity by joining the nonprofit Comforting Hearts All Inclusive Playground to ensure all children could play together regardless of ability. Her life helps others understand that inclusion, acceptance, and advocacy are vital to supporting individuals of all abilities.
Tala was a huge fan of excitement, drama, and pure chaos. She thrived on being the center of attention, hearing others be disciplined when in trouble, and laughing at their expense. Tala had a great sense of humor in doing so. You knew exactly what she was thinking through her expressive eyebrows, by her tongue sticking out, and playing opossum. Tala loved listening to Cocomelon on repeat, but Tala’s favorite sound was her daddy’s voice yelling “hey Tala Bug!” as soon as he got home.
Tala forced everyone around her to slow down and experience the world in ways one might not have thought of. Tala reminded us all to take the time to feel the warm sun on our skin, feel the movement of water, smell the scent of flowers, touch different textures, and holistically feel the environment.
Tala had a full, beautiful life. She was the definition of joy and warrior through and through. Tala was loved beyond measure, and her presence in this life will be a void that will never be filled. But, to know Tala is to know love, to know faith, and feel the hope that can only be found in our Savior, Jesus Christ. Tala’s parents, siblings, family and friends rejoice knowing that Tala is running, playing, singing, and speaking to all who have gone before in heaven.
To learn more about the impact and adventure of her life, her parent’s keep an online journal through the Tala Beth Warrior Princess Facebook page. Tala’s parents invite family, friends, and community to share in the celebration of Tala’s life. The family has plans to create a memorial garden at their home and requests that anyone who wishes bring a painted/unique rock to place in their memory garden to honor Tala. Rocks can be brought to the service. Children of all ages are invited to wear their favorite Disney outfit to celebrate with Tala as she will be wearing hers. If anyone would like to make any monetary contributions, donations can be made to Little Warrior Wishes, Inc. to honor kiddos in our community impacted by a life-limiting diagnosis, like Tala.
Visitation services will be held at Bethany Christian Church on Friday 4pm-8pm with another opportunity to visit on Saturday from 10am-12pm.
