Tami Sanders

Tami R. Sanders, 61, passed away at 11:18 pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Tami was born on April 5, 1953 in Vincennes the son of James and Patty (Purcell) Sanders. He married Jama McNeece on May 1, 1976 and she survives.Tami was a custodian for the Vincennes School Corporation and previously worked for Wonder Bread for over thirty years as a loader. He was an avid sports fan and a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Indiana University and the Indianapolis Colts and the Boise State Broncos. He loved hanging out with the Musketeers, Jim Bond, Mike Hartigan, John Emgee and Sam Porter.Survivors include his wife, Jama Sanders of Vincennes, son Aaron Sanders and his fianc Sarah Mier of Boise, ID, mother, Patty Sanders of Vincennes; brother, Jay Sanders and his wife Pam of Evansville, sister Penny Hawkins and her husband Roger of Vincennes, sister Marlene East and her husband Tom of Sumner, IL, sister, Jan Knox of Washington, sister, Melody Davis and her husband Chuck of Vincennes; brother-in-law, Jay McNeece of Vincennes, sister-in-law, Jan Miles and her husband Terry of Vincennes, brother-in-law, Jono McNeece and his wife Linda of Vincennes, brother-in-law, Jerry McNeece and his wife Patti of Vincennes and sister-in-law, Judy Schatz of Vincennes. Tami was preceded in death by his father, James Sanders and his sister, Vicki Sanders and his sister-in-law, Jill Wittenmyer.Friends may visit with Tamis family from 4:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. There will be no funeral service at Tamis request. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to help defray medical expenses.
