Teddy Houck

Ted B. Houck, 80, passed away at 10:25 am on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Gentle Care Nursing Home. Ted was born on September 21, 1934 in Knox County the son of Ronald "Tink" and Helen Ruth (Johnson) Houck. He married Violet Smith on October 27, 1956 and she survives.Ted served his country in the United States Army and retired from Pepsi Cola after twenty five years as a mechanic. He was a member of Cornerstone Ministries; Lawrenceville Moose Lodge, American Legion and VFW. Ted also enjoyed golfing and going to Vincennes Lincoln and Vincennes University games.Survivors include his wife, Violet Houck of Vincennes; sons, Ron Houck and his companion Susan Snider of Vincennes, Gary Houck and his wife Janet of St. Francisville, Jeff Houck of Vincennes; daughter-in-law Sherry Houck of Newburgh; brother, Danny Houck of Arizona; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, son, Stacey Houck; grandson, Tony Houck; two sisters, Jill Imel and Charlotte Everett and one brother, Jack Houck.Friends may visit with Ted's family on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 4-8 pm at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway.
