Terry grew up in Montgomery, IN with his sister Carol Sue and parents Kenneth and Roberta Moots (Wraley). He graduated from Barr Reeve HS in 1972. After graduating HS, he joined the army and served from 1972-1975. He married Devona Gillespie. His son William Lee was born in 1974, and his daughter Jennifer in 1979. He received his honorable discharge in 1975, when he was stationed in Arizona. He went to school in Tucson and became an x-ray tech and worked at a stand-alone emergency center for Tucson Hospital. He met his second wife Kim, in 1983 and they got married in 1985. In 1987 they moved to Indiana. He worked at Dunn Hospital and then Bloomington Hospital, when he and Kim moved to Bloomington in 1988. He was a motorcycle safety instructor for 10 years for MSF, Abate and GWRRA. In 2002 he became a driving instructor for a driving school in Martinsville and retired from there in 2014. He had a real talent for teaching and really enjoyed it. He was the District Educator for Indiana Goldwing Road Riders from 1998-2000. He and Kim enjoyed riding their motorcycles and went on many trips. He loved history, particularly Titanic and Civil war and they rode to different exhibits and battle sites. His many hobbies included hiking, camping and spelunking. He loved playing euchre with his cousins whenever they got together. He was a member of GWRRA, AMVets, ABATE, VFW and NRA. His favorite holiday was Halloween because he enjoyed designing and putting together haunted houses and trails, and see how much he could scare people. We did a haunted house for many years in our pole barn for friends and family. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Kim; his daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Tafoya; his son, William Lee Moots; two grandchildren, Stevie Ray (Briar) and Jessica; three great grandchildren; his Wraley cousins, Lynn, Jay, Kathy, Steve and Sarah; and his Uncle Robert (Brenda) Wraley and many friends. Services will be at Bethany Cemetery in Washington, IN State HWY 50 (3miles east of Washington) Thursday Nov. 10 at 1pm. Arrangements by Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home.
