Thelma Padgett

Thelma Padgett, 73, of Vincennes, passed away at 4:00 pm Monday, April 12, 2021 at BridgePointe Health Campus.She was born October 16, 1947 in Vincennes, Indiana to Bernard William and Mary Marie (McKinley) Padgett Sr.Thelma had worked for Sodexo at Vincennes University, Tobacco Road, Decker Truck Stop, Cash-N-Dash, and Brown Shoe Factory. She graduated from St. Rose Academy and attended St. Mary's of the Woods. She enjoyed long car rides, working puzzles, bingo, and Coca Cola. A bubbly person, Thelma was the social butterfly at BridgePointe. She loved her family and all her friends as she cared for anyone she met.Surviving are her children Michelle Hornsby of Vincennes, Robert Hasenour and his wife Penni of Jasper; her brother Henry Padgett of Vincennes; her sister in-law Bev Miller of Vincennes, her grandchildren Carsen "Jennifer" Christmas, Adam Hornsby, and raised Nathaniel and Daniel Chapman who she considered grandchildren; a nephew Hank Padgett of Vincennes and his fianc Sandy Holman;She was preceded in death by her parents; son Mickey "Big Mick" Padgett; and her brother Bernard William Padgett Jr.Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, with Rev. Trevor Murry officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 on Thursday at the funeral home. Tribute Video Service Video
