Theodore Kutter

Theodore L. Kutter, 88, passed away at 4:15 am on May 10, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Theodore was born on July 18, 1927 in Vincennes the son of John E. and Lucy C. (Messel) Kutter.Ted was a graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was an operating engineer for Local 841 out of Terre Haute and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion, 40 et 8 and a lifetime member of the VFW where he was past Commander. He also enjoyed hunting.Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Brasseur and her husband Mark of Vincennes; sister, Judy Kiger and her husband John of Vincennes; brother, David Kutter and his wife Sue of Vincennes; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Kutter; brother, William Kutter: and sister Rosemary Morris.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2004 2nd Street with Rev. Benny Chacko celebrating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery where the All Weather Firing Squad will conduct military rites. Friends may visit with Ted's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at the church on Friday.
