Theodore Moyer

Theodore Edward "Edd" Moyer, 69, of Vincennes, passed away at 3:30 am Sunday June 19, 2016 at his residence.He was born September 21, 1946 in Vincennes to Clayton Edward and Margaret (Draim) Moyer.Edd retired from Vincennes University as a Police Officer and also served his country in the Army.He served the community for 30 years as a police officer for Vincennes University and the Knox County Sheriff's Office. and 45 years as Santa Claus during the holiday season.Surviving is his wife, Sandra (Allen) Moyer whom he married on June 21, 1996; his children, Brian Moyer and his wife Kara of Vincennes, Donald Craig and his wife Angela of Greenwood, Douglas Johnson and his wife Kimberly of Vincennes, and April Barner and her husband, Jeff of Frenchville, PA; his grandchildren, Clayton and Evan Moyer of Vincennes, Brandon Davis of Vincennes, Nathan Morris and his wife Brittani of Frenchville PA, Joshua Heuby of Frenchville PA, Jacob Craig of Greenwood, Devin Craig and his wife Amber of Delaware OH, Candace Taylor and her husband Josh of Vincennes, Jessica Peacock and her husband Jacob of Seymour, and Lexi Craig of Delaware, OH; and 9 great grandchildren with one more on the way.Visitation will be Wednesday June 22, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Edd's life by Phil Gower. The family request no flowers be sent that Edd was allergic to flowers and in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to help with his health expenses.
