Thomas "Tommy"E. Abrams, Jr., also known as "groundhog" to his fellow drivers, of Oaktown, IN, passed away Oct. 5, 2019, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.Tommy had been the owner of Abrams Trucking. A graduate of North Knox High School, he was a member of the Oaktown Alumni Association. He also belonged to the Carlisle Odd Fellows Lodge #50. Tommy loved spending time with his grandchildren.Born December 8, 1954, in Vincennes, IN, he was the son of Thomas and Virginia (Bateman) Abrams, Sr. His parents; his wife, Michele (Lange) Abrams; his children, Ashley Abrams and his wife, Kristy, of Oaktown, IN, Jason Petelle and his wife, Susan, of Oaktown, IN, and Brandi Petelle of Bruceville, IN; his sisters, Terri Bushta and her husband, Mike, of Florida, and Tammie Twitty and her husband, Cary, of Vincennes, IN; his grandchildren, Alexis, Marissa, Wendell, and Rowan Petelle, Wade Abrams, Abagayle and Alyzah Welton, and Avalon Woods; and his dog, Buddy, all survive him.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 3:00 - 7:00, and on Thursday, from 10:00 - 11:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
