Thomas W. Culp,88, of Decker, IN went to be with the Lord March 20, 2022. He was born to Albert and Eleanor (Edington) Culp in Lawrenceville, IL on January 13, 1934. Tom attended Decker High School and graduated in 1952. Tom married, the love of his life, Linda Lucas in 1958. He worked for US Steel as an engineer on the Great Lakes for 20 years and for Orgulf Transport as chief engineer on tugboats in Mississippi. Tom served as a volunteer for Johnson Township Firefighters for 20+ years, was a member of Decker United Methodist Church and a member of Decker's Community Center. He enjoyed many things in life such as working with children, mushroom hunting, cooking, working with leather, watching his grandchildren play sports, riding his lawn mower and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Hubert Culp, Leon (Pete) Culp, and Barbara Van. Tom is survived by his wife of 64 years Linda Culp; children Thomas (Penny) Culp and Lisa (Jim) Ransford; grandchildren Marcus (Katie), Cory, Ryan (Judy), Meghan, and Zachary; great-grandchildren Lily, Keylee, Lucas, Daxton, and Murphy; brother Leroy Culp; and special niece Cheryl (Jay) Culp Wilson. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mr. Culp. Visitation will be held Thursday March 24, 2022, from 11a-1p at 524 Broadway St. Vincennes. Funeral Services will be held Thursday March 24, 2022, at 1p with burial at Memorial Park to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
