Thomas Fausnacht

Thomas M. Fausnacht, 83, of Vincennes, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Willow Manor surrounded by his family.Tom retired from Good Samaritan Hospital as Chief Radiology Technologist after working there for 46 years. As a member of Community United Methodist Church, he had served on various church boards. An active member of the church, he also spoke at other churches often using his artwork to illustrate the teachings of Christ. He also went on mission trips to Haiti installing x-ray equipment. Tom volunteered at Lincoln High School as a shop teacher sharing his love of woodworking. He was an US Army veteran.He was a locally known artist in multiple mediums and his work brought joy to many people. Woodworking, fishing, and mushroom hunting were some of his favorite activities.He was born October 24, 1934, in West Moreland, PA. His parents were Rev. Charles and Thelma (Miller) Fausnacht. His parents, and a sister, Lois Pettyjohn, preceded him in death. He married Betty Jo McCracken on December 22, 1956. They were married for over 61 yearsSurviving is his wife, Betty Jo Fausnacht; his children, Teri Barmes of Vincennes, Brad Fausnacht and his wife, Tamara, of St. Francisville, IL, and Holly Dale and her husband, Brad, of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Spencer Barmes; Victoria Halter and her husband, Zach; Rebecca Kopatich and her husband, Andrew; Drake Barmes, Hunter Fausnacht and his wife, Jacque; Heath Fausnacht, Jacquelyn Cunningham and her husband, Jeff; and Jennifer Minderman and her husband, Chris; his great-grandchildren, Peyton Barmes, Aiden Pittner, Emma Fankhouser, Leila Barmes, Keller and Keegan Halter, Collin Kopatich, Lincoln Fausnacht, Emma Jo, Marissa and Jeffrey Cunningham, Colton and Elle Minderman ; and a brother-in-law, Robert Pettyjohn of California.Friends may visit with Tom's family from 3:00 - 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, at Community United Methodist Church, and also on Wednesday, from 9:30 - 10:30AM at the church. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, at the church, at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community United Methodist Church, Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice or the Willow Manor Reflections Unit.
