Dr. Thomas E. Field 1945 - 2022 Jasper, IN After nearly 77 years, Father Time caught up to the Shaman and insisted upon his presence in the afterlife. "Do you know how much trouble you've caused me?" asked Father Time of the healer as they walked toward the light. Motioning to a building crowd of silhouettes: "All of these souls: tardy because of you. Because of your long hours in emergency rooms. Because of your thorough and relentless patient care. Because of your caring ear and selfless dedication to the healing arts. These tens of thousands of souls were late to their calling on your account, Shaman. And so I ask you again: Do you know how much trouble you've caused me?" "Do I really look like I give a shi_?" growled the Shaman as he stepped past Father Time, through the gate, and to be welcomed by that very same crowd. Dr. Field is reunited in eternity with his parents W. Ermal and Hazel Field, as well as his younger brother James and third wife Tammy. He leaves behind brother William, sons Darrin and Blake, niece Jamey, and one hell of a chili recipe. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Dr. Field.
