Thomas Pullen Boyd, 74, of 1627 East Boonville-New Harmony Road in Evansville, passed away on Sunday September 11, 2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.He was born February 27, 1942 in Kinmundy, Illinois to Fred and Nelda (Pullen) Boyd.Tom was currently working for the United States Post Office in Evansville as a truck driver. Previously he was an independent truck driver and had resided in Wheatland and St. Thomas. A member of the Baptist Church, he served his country in the Marines.He is survived by his wife, Lavon (Doades) Boyd, whom he married December 22, 1961; his children, Cheryl Ashby and her husband, William of Chrisney, and a son, Scott Boyd and his wife, Monique of Cleveland, Tennessee; a son in law, Steve Harvey of Illinois; a brother, Butch Boyd of Chicago; and a sister Betty Gilroy of Virginia. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Ashley Blocher, Mhegan Harvey, Stephanie Woodworth, Sonya Schiff, Zachery Ashby, Billy Ashby, Michael Boyd, Jayson Boyd, Alexa Boyd, Gillienne Boyd, Sophia Boyd, Edward Couvillion, and Aiden Couvillion; along with 14 great grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jacqueline Mae Harvey; a son, Thomas Carl Boyd; and two brothers, Jack and Bill Boyd.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday September 15, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Pete White officiating.
