Thomas Taylor

Thomas "Tom" Dale Taylor, 52, of 1993 S. Ballard Drive, Vincennes, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born May 8, 1959, in Scottsburg, IN, he was the son of Loraine (Everidge) and James E. Taylor Sr.Tom was a carpenter and a member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, wrestling, the Indianapolis Colts and spending time with his grandchildren. He also was a NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan. Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Taylor and Jason Risley of Vincennes; sons, Thomas Taylor II and Ashley Young of Vincennes and Jason Taylor and his wife Mary of Vincennes; grandchildren, Erica Nicole Devin, Emily Marie Devin, Jaelynn Loraine Risley, Jason Taylor II, Trinity Ann Gilbert and Christopher Trenton Gilbert, Sarah Devin, Robert Setser and Laura Setser; sisters, Patricia Lafferty and her husband Kerry of Vincennes, Lisa Shephard and her husband Ken of Lawrenceville, IL, and Annette Snapp and John Meadows of Vincennes; brothers, James Taylor, Jr. and his wife Ann of Vincennes, Rick Taylor and Vickie of Vincennes, and Steve Taylor of Bicknell; sister-in-law, Carolyn Taylor and several nieces and nephews.Preceding Tom in death were his parents and a brother Jeffrey Taylor.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 25, at 1:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., with Pastor Pete White officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
