Mary Patricia "Trish" Delaney went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Born on May 22, 1949, to Austin and Alberta Zinkan. She was a 1967 graduate of Montgomery High School.
Trish was known for her compassionate nature and was a faithful volunteer at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church for many years as part of the Bereavement Committee, hospital and homebound communion service, and a member of the Brute Society. She brightened up a room and brought joy to everyone that knew her.
Trish is survived by her husband William "Bill" Delaney of fifty years of Washington, son Kraig Delaney (Brenda) of Boonville, daughter Tara Delaney of Montgomery, and son Kent Delaney (Veronica) of Washington. She was a loving grandma to Lily Delaney and Cohen Delaney, and a devoted sister to Barbara (Zinkan) Taylor (and the late Marty) of Crestwood, KY and Michael Zinkan (Mary Alice) of Montgomery. Trish was beloved by her nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 315 NE 3rd St., Washington, IN 47501 on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 10:00 am with Rev. Paul Ferguson celebrating and burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Corning.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Bereavement Committee of Our Lady of Hope or St. Patrick's Cemetery in Corning. The Delaney family would like to give a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice and Good Samaritan Health and Rehab Center.
