Twyla Ellerman

Twyla L. Ellerman, 61, of 9431 South Old Decker Road, Vincennes, passed away at 9:25 p.m. August 27, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital.She was born May 13, 1951 in Vincennes, to Edwin & Frances (Wilson) Raney.Twyla was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church. She retired as Food Service Director for the South Knox School Corporation, retiring there in July after 33 years of service. Twyla hobbies were riding her horses and watching animals. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her neice, Amber Ellermann.Surviving is her husband, David Ellerman, whom she married on December 6, 1969; her mother, Frances Raney of Vincennes; a daughter, Cindy Ray and her husband Bo of Decker; a son, Ryan Ellerman and his wife Anna of Vincennes; a twin sister, Nwyla Ellermann and her husband Moe of Vincennes; and a brother, Garry Raney and his wife Sandy of Vincennes.Also surviving are three grandchildren, Teia, Chip, and Chuck Ray along with her two nephews, Jason and Andy Ellermann, and her niece, Amber Ellermann.Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday August 31, 2012 at St. Peter Lutheran Church with Rev. Nathan Rastl officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the South Knox Education Foundation
