Velda Shouse

Velda E. Shouse, 73, passed away at 6:15 pm on November 6, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Velda was born on March 9, 1945 in Daviess County, Ky the daughter of Jody and Margaret (Sinnett) Lanham.Velda worked as a teacher for Head Start/Pace. She loved her family and cherished her children and grandchildren. She always said after her retirement from Pace that she was a professional TV watcher.Survivors include her children, Lisa Bochner of Vincennes, Kelli Maynard of Vincennes, Kirt Shouse and his wife Sandy of Vincennes, Michael Shouse and his wife April of Lawrenceville; brother, Mike Gray of Owensboro, KY; sister, Gail Hall of Owensboro, KY; twelve grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Velda was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Justin Hall.Friends may visit with Velda's family from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Velda's funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home at the conclusion of visitation with Pastor Mike Lakes officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
