Verda Robinson

Verda J. Robinson, 84, of Vincennes, IN, passed away December 6, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital.Verda was a member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church. She had worked as a teacher's aide at Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary School. At home she enjoyed knitting and crafts. She also enjoyed going out camping and fishing.Born January 12, 1934 in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Raymond and Anna (Taylor) Roach. Her parents; her husband, Merlin "Mutt" Robinson, whom she married December 27, 1951 and who passed away February 28, 2015; her daughter, Tamir Hodges; her grandson, Brian Hodges; her sisters, Betty Lett and Viola Roach; and her brothers, Raymond, Donald, Alfred, and Walter Roach preceded her.Surviving are her children, Susan Robinson, Cynthia Robinson, Joni Blackburn and her husband, Dave, Keith Robinson and his wife, Vicki, and Cary Joe Robinson, all of Vincennes, IN; her brother, Herb Roach of Odon, IN; her son-in-law, Russell Hodges of Russellville, IL; her grandchildren, Lori Thomas, Danica Eyler and her husband, Rob, Luke Blackburn, Israel Robinson, Timmie Hodges, Annabelle Hodges, and Isiah Decker; and 6 great-grandchildren.Friends may visit with Verda's family from 5:00 - 8:00 on Friday, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
