Vernon Carie

Vernon J. Carie, 81 of Vincennes passed away at his home on October 11, 2015.Vernon was born on October 8, 1934 in Vincennes the son of Cletus and Anna (Halter) Carie.Vernon was a retired plumber having worked for Harrison Home Builders for many years. Vernon was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and also a member of the Knights of Columbus.Survivors include his wife, Glenda (Williams) Carie; children, Darvin Crane and wife Kym, Michael Carie and wife Kathey, Vernon Carie II and wife Debbi, Charity Willis and husband Tony, Tamara Melton, Melissa Carie, and Melinda Carie: brothers, Ambrose Carie, Cletus Carie, Henry Carie, Regina Arthur, Theresa Durham, and Lillian Sheren; sixteen grand children and two great-grandchildren. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers, Robert Carie, Steven Carie, and Frances Carie: Sisters, Margie Covey, and Mary Stone.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am Thursday, October 15, 2015 at St. Johns Catholic Church with Father David Fleck celebrating.
