Vi Blinn, 83 passed away at 10:03 pm on March 26, 2020 at Gentle Care Nursing Home. Vi was born on September 21, 1936 in Huntington County, IN the daughter of Fred W. and Zelma E. (Trout) Reece. She married Mark Blinn on December 9, 1956.Vi worked at Vigo School as a reading assistant and then as a supervisor in the Food Service Department at Good Samaritan Hospital and was also a member of First Baptist Church for many years. Vi moved to Vincennes in 1968 and with her husband Mark was instrumental in starting the host family program for international students at Vincennes University. Vi was proud of the fact she taught some of the students English and made prom dresses for some as well. She was also proud of the fact that one the international student's they hosted, lived with them for seven years. She also was a member of the YMCA Men's and Women's Club.Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Mark Blinn of Vincennes; daughter, Vicki Booth and her husband Steve of Vincennes; sons, Steve Blinn and his wife Regina of Vincennes, Brian Blinn and his wife Theresa of Vincennes; brothers, Bob Reece and his wife Linda of Naples, FL, Oris Reece of Greenwood, IN Roger Reece of Upland, IN; sister, Carol Kilgore and her husband Jerry of Upland, IN; her grandchildren, Chris Booth and his wife Michelle, Jessica Booth, Casey Booth and his fiance Ashley Gilmore, Kristina Aglyim and her husband Michael, Justin Blinn and his wife Ariel, Jared Blinn, Sarah McKinney and her husband Josh, Kyle Blinn and his wife Randa, Eli Schlomer; her great-grandchildren, Joshua Booth, Emilee Booth, Masyn Blinn, Kara McKinney and Hunter Blinn. Vi was preceded in death by her parents.A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday at Sugarland Memory Gardens in Washington, IN with Rev. Phillip Walthall officiating. Anyone interested will be able to watch the graveside service live on Goodwin Funeral Home Facebook page and will be notified when it goes live.
