Virgil M. Davison, 87, of Vincennes, passed away at 12:10 am Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital.He was born October 5, 1933 in Knox County, Indiana to Roy E. and Margaret E. (Dillon) Davison.Virgil worked in the glass business for over 40 years working for PPG and then for D&H Glass. Serving his country during the Korean Conflict in the Air Force, Virgil was a member of the American Legion and also attended the Wabash Community Church. An avid Lincoln Alices fan, he and his wife attended many athletic events supporting the Alices. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting.Surviving are his wife Mary (Combs) Davison whom he married April 4, 1958; his sons David Davison and his wife Suzy of Vincennes, and Alan Davison and his wife Shelly of Vincennes; four grandchildren Jackie Linstead, Katie House, Matthew Davison, and Zachary Davison; his four great grandchildren Jacob Davison, Colton House, Hannah Linstead, and Addie House; a sister-in-law Judy Davison of Vincennes, along with several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers and sisters Wilma Myers, Maxine Baxley, Imogene Moyes, Ada Bell Shoulders, Joy Jacqeulyn Webber, Zeralda Davison, Orval Davison, Albert Davison, A. Ralph "Doc" Davison, Verle "Butch" Davison, and Merle Davison.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery with Dale Biehl officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wabash Community Church, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners Hospital for crippled children in Virgil's name.
