Virginia "Peggy" Hankins

Virginia R. (Peggy) Hankins, 93, passed away at 8:45 am on June 2, 2014 at Bridge Pointe Health Campus. Peggy was born on May 13, 1921 the daughter of John and Lelola (Pfoff) Thompson. She married Colonial William Ray Hankins on June 20, 1943 and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2006.Peggy was a graduate of Wheatland High School and a member of Franklin Heights Christian Church. She was a member of the Winchum Sunday School Club, Town and Country Home Extension, Eastern Star and the Elks. She was also an avid golfer.Survivors include her niece Joy Le Duc of Evansville IN , sister-in-law, Shirley Hankins of Evansville IN, niece Rebecca (Earley) Robinson of Paducah, KY; and nephew, Roger D. Earley of Plainville, IN. Also surviving are several cousins.Funeral services for Peggy will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Ron Barnes officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery Tower II Mausoleum. Friends may visit with Peggy's family on Saturday from noon until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
