Virginia Powell

Virginia Powell, 88, of Wheatland, passed away peacefully at her home on November 25, 2020 at 6:20am.She was born November 22, 1932 in Pawpaw, West Virginia to the late Charles and Virginia McMillen.Virginia worked for Montgomery Ward for many years and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time. What brought her the most joy in her life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the sweetest, kindest, most loving, woman you would ever meet, served the Lord faithfully, and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church for many years.Surviving are her children Sherry (Wayne) Sullivan, Mary (Les) Allen, Greg (Helen) Powell, Marty (Judy) Brown; she has several grandchildren and great grandchildren.Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband in 2002 after being married for 49 years, her daughter, Rosanna Tedrick, brother, Jerry McMillen; sisters, Donna Shipley, Eugena Dare, and Carolyn Goin.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Wheatland with Rev. Gene Rasner officiating. Burial will follow in the Wheatland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service at the church.Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to assist the Powell family in their time of loss.
