Wade L. Goldman, 91, of Monroe City, IN, passed away May 11, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Wade had worked at Schulteis Furniture, and later worked as a custodian in the South Knox School System. A graduate of Monroe City High School, he was a member of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. During WWII, he served in the Army Air Corps as a radio operator. He was an avid horseback rider, and a member of the Knox County Trailriders. Wade also enjoyed playing euchre at the Blue Jean Center in Monroe City. Born February 3, 1921, in Knox County, IN, he was the son of Orion and Mary (Robinson) Goldman. They preceded him, as well as his wife, Virginia, and a brother, Ralph Goldman. Surviving is a daughter, Sharon (Terry) Martin of Monroe City, IN; a son, Darrell (Brenda) Goldman of Bainbridge, IN; his sister, Norma Lee Like of Monroe City, IN; grandchildren Chris (Toni) Martin of Monroe City, Cory (Becki) Martin of Monroe City, and Jason (Maggie) Linville of Indianapolis, IN; and great-grandchildren, Brian, Caleb, and Shelby. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 4:00-8:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Services will be held on Monday, May 14, at 10:30, at the funeral home, with Rev. Brenda Wick officiating. Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Building Fund.
