Wanda Stomski

Wanda Mae Stomski, 91, passed away on August 4, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Wanda was born in Oaktown, IN on May 15, 1932, and she is the daughter of John and Daisey (Hatfield) Allen. Wanda married Wayne Blacketer in 1952 and was blessed with their three sons. After their separation she married Benjamin Stomski on September 11, 1974, and he preceded her on August 2, 2002.

Wanda was a member of Community United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi. She had worked as a secretary for Good Samaritan Hospital in the Radiology Department, Circles of Care Mental Health in Titusville, FL and H and R Block in Florida. Wanda enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals. reading, traveling, and rescuing dogs. She also loved to play cards and loved her dog, Susie.

Survivors include her sons, Rick Blacketer and his wife Marce of Vincennes, Danny Blacketer and his wife Gail of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Brian Blacketer, Jennifer Hadlock and her husband Chris; and her great granddaughter, Kaylee Hadlock. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, John and Daisey Allen, her husband Benjamin Stomski, son, Michael Blacketer, and two sisters, Mildred Hill and Agnes Cox.

Graveside services for Wanda will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 919 Willow St. with Pastor Darren Williams officiating. Friends may visit with Wanda's family from 10:30 am until the hour of the graveside service of 11:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery. Wanda will be laid to rest next to her son.
