Warren Cox, 90, 3533 Thunder Hill Place, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday November 17, 2012 at his residence. Warren was born on September 8, 1922 in Shoals, IN the son of Harley and Ella (Tabor) Cox. He married Theresa Qualkenbush on July 22, 1939 and she preceded him in death on June 19, 1994. Warren was a WW II Veteran serving in the 134 Infantry 35th Division in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany during the war and was a Bronze Star recipient. He was also in the Battle of the Bulge. Warren attended Community United Methodist Church and retired in 1984 from Vincennes Steel as a truck driver. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion. Warren loved fishing, working in the yard, gardening, eating, spending time with his children and grandchildren and he also enjoyed watching all sports. Survivors include his daughter, Marcia Ferguson and her husband, Ron of Hazelton; son, Michael W.Cox and his wife Sharon of Vincennes, daughter, Sherry Carter and her companion, Randy David of Princeton; eleven grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren, sister, Gladys Hall of West Baden and companion, Betty Griffith of Vincennes. Warren was preceded in death by his daughters, Carolyn Davis and Judith Ann Cox, four sisters, Maurice Tedrow, Nancy Cox, Lorene Gammon, Ada Buffington and one brother, Donald Johnson. Funeral services for Warren will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
