Warren Emmons

Warren R. Emmons, 73, of 1315 Upper 11th, Vincennes, passed away 12:20 am Friday, March 11, 2011 at his residence.He was born in Vincennes on December 25, 1937 to Dorthe & Beatrice (Wilhite) Emmons.Warren retired from Packaging Corporation and formerly owned Cooper's Tavern for 12 years. Warren enjoyed hunting and outdoor activities and his memberships included the American Legion and the V.F.W. He served his country in the Marines. Survivors include his wife, Gloria (Newman) Emmons, whom he married on November 14, 1963, his children, Rod (Betsy) Emmons of Vincennes, Bobby Emmons of Vincennes, Darrin (Felicia) Emmons of Fishers, Joe Emmons of Vincennes, Clayton (Barbie) Dame of Hazleton, and Tamya (Brad) Gould of Houston, Texas. Also surviving is a brother, Max (Debbie) Emmons of Vincennes, a sister, Claudia (Don) Dickerson of Vincennes, 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.Warren was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild, Preston Wayne Harris.Funeral services for Warren will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home.
